Persboek Team Philippaerts 2024

Olivier Philippaerts enjoys double podium success in Paris Olivier Philippaerts had a great weekend in Paris, with two podium finishes. On Saturday, he finished second alongside his brother Nicola Philippaerts in the Longines Global Champions League. On Sunday, he secured second place in the CSI5* 1.55m UAE President Cup Challenge. The organizers of the Longines Global Champions Tour made a stop in Paris, hosting the prestigious tour for the tenth time. During Saturday's Grand Prix, Nicola Philippaerts ( Katanga v/h Dingeshof) and Olivier Philippaerts ( H&M Legend of Love) finished 7th and 15th, respectively. As a team, they achieved 2nd place. "It was a tough competition with many teams making jumping mistakes. In the first round, both Nicola and I had one fault. In the second round, I went clear and Nicola knocked down one rail, resulting in us narrowly finishing second. Overall, we're satisfied with the result. We had a one-point lead over the Cannes Stars before the weekend, which has now extended to five points. We’re halfway through the Champions League, and consistency will be key as we head to Stockholm this weekend, which is somewhat our home event. Together with Nicola and Jessica, we'll strive for a strong performance to further extend our lead," said Olivier Philippaerts. On Sunday, Olivier Philippaerts (riding Precious Dwergse Hagen) secured second place in the 1.55m Grand Prix. He clocked the fastest time in a jump-off of five riders, but an unfortunate rail fell at the very last obstacle. "Well, it was a bit of bad luck, but it counts just the same. What's most important to me is Precious' performance. We have her since she was six, and now at nine, she's stepping up well. Paris marked her first top-level competition, and she performed great. Now, the goal is to maintain this form so she's ready to compete at the highest level next year. I have strong belief in her potential," concluded Olivier Philippaerts. Also the other riders from Team Philippaerts also had a successful weekend. Thibault Philippaerts achieved fifth place in the CSIO3* Deauville with Le Blue Diamond v/h Ruytershof. At Peelbergen, Jenny Krogsaeter won the Pro Tour GP with Palousy van het Excelhof. Anthony Philippaerts (riding Quite Cool van Dorperheid) secured third place, while Stijn Timmerman completed the success with Quatro van Dorperheide, a progeny of H&M Chilli Willi, finishing fourth.
